President Charles E. Patterson 致力于推进高等教育近二十年. He arrived at Shippensburg University on June 30, 在5月6日被任命为第18届总统之前，他一直担任临时总统, 2022.

He is married to Colleen Patterson. They have a son, Aidan Patterson, who is a sophomore at Shippensburg University.
